Capturing a Luxury Hebden Bridge Holiday Home Through the Seasons
Encapsulating all that Stephenson House, a Grade 2 listed farmhouse and barn conversion, has to offer has been one of the great pleasures of the last few years. With luxurious and cosy styling, spacious rooms full of character and its absolutely stunning location, it's a dream to photograph, and to visit.
Almost 3 years ago, I met up with Emma to discuss her holiday-let home, beautifully presented and ready to be promoted online.
Emma has a real eye for detail and knew just how she would like to present Stephenson House, a luxury, large holiday home, quietly hidden on the hillside above Hebden Bridge. As a business owner, she was looking for professional photographs to capture everything that her local business has to offer.
We spent time discussing what was needed, covered the details and planned our property photo shoot ahead of time. We planned an early morning shoot based on the house's location, as I knew I would be able to capture a stunning sunrise, incorporating Stephenson house into its captivating landscape and showing off the views it has to offer.
This winter, when we planned our Christmas themed photo shoot and an update of the bedrooms at Stephenson House, we planned in even more detail. From breakfast trays, to Christmas decorations, the dining table set for a family Christmas dinner, cosy fires and lighting, Emma and I talked in depth about our plans to make sure that every detail was captured and the essence of the home at Christmas has been captured.
Emma wanted to add photographs of the holiday home dressed for Christmas to her collection, so that she can show visitors to Hebden Bridge just how cosy a Christmas at Stephenson House is.
True to her diligent nature, Emma and her mum Anne prepared Stephenson House, trimmed each room with its decorations and paid attention to details in each room of the house. During this photo shoot, I was to capture each room of the house again, showing Stephenson House through the seasons. I'm sure you'll agree that the presentation of Stephenson House is testament to Emma's keen eye as a host.
Doesn't the table look welcoming festooned with berries, candles, crisp glasses and crackers.
I can just imagine drinking mulled wine, pulling a cracker and wearing a Christmas hat at that table with my family around.
